Home, Sweet Home

Hello! I'm back!
For anyone who may not already know, I have been in NC visiting my older sister (Big M), my niece (A), and brother-in-law (N). We went out to celebrate little A's 1st birthday! It was alot of fun. I will blog more about it and prolly include a few pic's (got some good cake action ones!) The time spent there was fun, though some nights I wished I could have gotten some more sleep...which is why I will be soo glad to be back on my own room, my own bed, with no one to disturb me.

Mother's Day Gifts

So a little while ago I told you that I was going to make the Mother's Day gifts for the Moms at my church, and with the help of one of my friends I got them done! Here is what I made:An accordian folded scrapbook, a pen, and chocolates (what mother doesn't like chocolate!). Oh and my Mom also helped out by making the tags, useing her Slice, and some of my favorite monkey stamps!

We set these all up on a table, and let the Moms pick their book, pen, and a baggie of chocolate (we had like six wrapped up in cellophane, but I didn't take the photo till later on in the day and Mom had already eaten some of her chocolate).

I think they turned out well (we made 29 of them, and had like 5 left over...of course, we were nice and let the kids have the left over chocolate, and a couple of our girls wanted a pen.). Now I just need to figure out what to make the Father's....some how I don't think they would like little scrapbook things!

That Kid's a Thief!

So last night me and my sister (Little M) went to Wal-Mart to pick up some toasted raviolli, which they did not have. :( So she picked up a few other things and we went to check out. While we were waiting Little M went to pick up a few more things and I saw something. I saw a little boy, about 6 or 7 take a little can of Monster, out of one of those little refrigerators full of drinks they have at the end of the check out lanes, and put it in his pocket! He knew it was wrong too I could tell by the way he was watching his parents to make sure they didn't see. So after a few minuets of thinking "What do I do!" and telling Little M what I saw, we told our check out lady, she made a call, and waited to see if the alarm would go off when they left...they didn't, so I guess they couldn't do anything about it, even if they did have an eye witness. Maybe his conscience will get the better of him.
Oh, and our check out lady told us that earlier in the day, a man came through with 2 gallons of milk, and actually asked her to only charge him for one, she's like, uh...no. He then told her that he had a reciept, and when she asked to see it...he said no and took off running....with the milk. Seriously what is wrong with people.
