26 Things...A Day in the Life

If you remember the 26 Things post from earlier this month, and was excited to see what I did...well sorry, I didn't get it done. :( I even wrote the list down twice. So I am determined to do it this month, except this month it's A Day in the Life. Now from the sounds of it they normally assign a day of the month that you are supposed to photograph a day in your life, however, this month, they have left that choice up to you! Basically you take a photograph for every hour of whatever day you choose. You need a minimum of six photos, and a maximum of twenty-four. I am probably going to photograph my day when I am on vacation in North Carolina, visiting my niece, and sister & brother-in-law. So, if you're interested, join the fun and photograph a day in your life you can then go to www.sh1ft.org/projects/ and post a link to your blog, or site, or wherever you posted your photos so we can all check out A Day in Your Life!

Fustrations of Job Searching

There are soooo many of them! Everyone wants you to have 3-5 years of expierience, some companies won't hire "entry level" people because, and I quote "of the time it takes for us to train them". NEWS FLASH! You are probably going to have to train any one you hire to some extent if not only to show them how your company does something - cause we all know not every company does everything the same way.
Then there is the whole un-employment thing. It's all good, you get some kind of income while your looking for a job, BUT - there is always a but - if you decide that maybe you want to take some classes to better improve yourself the job market, I found out that they cut you off! How fair is that!
Needless to say, I'm getting a little flustered with the whole job hunt thing, and if I can't find one in my feild soon...I may be looking into going back to Kohl's or something like that. Which I really don't want to do, but if I have too...well it's better than nothing.

Craft it Forward!

I recently found (on my sister's site A Little Peice of My Life) Craft it forward! I will be receiving something from her, so I’m following up my end of the bargain, and offering something up to you.

Here is the fine print:The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me!

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations so please read carefully:
* I make no guarantees that you will like what I make but I will do my best.
* it will be done in the next couple months
* you have no clue what it’s going to be - that’s the fun part!

It could be artwork, handmade stationary personalized for you, baked goods from my kitchen, or something crocheted or knitted. What will it be? You’ll have to wait and see! I reserve the right to do something completely bizarre or completely normal.

Here’s the fine print:In return, all you need to do is post this text into a note of your own and make 5 things for 5 others. What could be more fun! Some ideas you could do for others: artwork, CD’s, burn a DVD, write a poem, crochet a scarf, make a mini book, send a photograph (a printed one, not e-mailed. etc…).

If you are interested, leave a comment below with your email, or blog address. I will then contact you and get the rest of the information needed to get your hand made item to you.

Motivation....I need you!

It is true, I am not as motivated as I would like, or should be when it comes to working on my projects, designs, ect. ect. ect. I NEED TO BE! That being said, since I have so much free time right now, I will (try to) make myself work on my variety of projects at least 3 hours a day! Yep, I am going to lock myself in my art room and work, and hopefully start to get something accomplished. What about the other hours of the day? Well those will be devoted to, devo's (by God's grace - I'm really bad at not doing them), cleaning, cooking, and job searching - which by the way is no fun, but it must needs be done.
So here is to me and finding my motivation, 'cause I do have alot I want to do. :)

Mother's Day...check, Father's Day...not so much...

Okay, so I have the Mother's Day gifts figured out for our church this year....but I'm stuck on what to get the Fathers. I definiatly know that I am not going with a mug...or pen...or flashlight keychain...been there, done that....especially the mugs. I think half the households in our church, all consists of mugs collected from past Mother/Father days...I know my parent have had quite a few from that...I'm not going to post what I'm making for the Mother's till after the fact, just 'cause some of them may read this, and I want it to be a suprise! However...if you have an idea for a gift for the Fathers, leave me a comment and let me know!

Slighty More Organized...

Well, today my Mom and I worked on my art room. I still am going to work on getting it a little more organized, but I got a good start on it, and can now actually get in the room to work on my projects! Hopefully I will have the motivation to do so...and if I'm going to do what I'm thinking about for the Mothers Day gifts for church, I need to get a head start...and order something for it too...

I'm ready to delve into new territory!

I am now one of the admins on our church web-site! I can't wait to learn more about it! If any one out there has any advice, or knows of any good books, sites, or what-not let me know! Visit my church's site at www.fbcgc.org.

26 Things

Ok, so I have found a site that presented me with a great challenge! The Site www.sh1ft.org/projects/ is a photographic project site. One of their projects is 26 Things, where they give you a list each month of 26 words, and you go out and take a photo of each of those things, as you interpret them. You then upload them to your blog website or fliker album and then submit your entry URL on the site. I will try and upload at least some of them on my blog at the end of each month. I can't wait to start this! Try it out for yourself just visit www.sh1ft.org/26things/! Enjoy!

I also noticed that they a have A Day in the Life - looks like that could be fun too!

I am happy for him...

So one of my very best friends called me today with some very interesting news...

"SO..." she says "Guess who I got a wedding invitation from"

"Who?"

"Your ex."

"WHAT! REALLY!?" :O <--me shocked

"Yep..."

Of course there was a little more talk of it before we moved on.

I am glad that he found someone, I hope it all goes well...

No Joke - My FIRST EVER Blog! :)

Welcome! This is my first blog...ever! I am an artist of many different genre's! Kinda of ironic to start my first ever blog on April 1st, but this is no joke! My goal is to blog about anything artsy, but I know I will also be blogging about other things as well. I would love to hear from other artist --- anything from tips and trick, to...well whatever I can learn and use!
