Our Giant Snowman...

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I know I did! Good food, great family, great gifts...and snow, beautiful, soft, white snow...with which we used to build a GIANT snowman!
Yep...right after dinner, my sister, her husband, his brother and I all went out side and built the biggest snowman I've ever built...or seen.
Here he is...our GIANT Snowman! I'm going to be taking a photo of him every day (well...at least I'm going to try) until he melts completely, then try and put together a video of the progress. I'll post that when it's done...and maybe keep you updated every-so-often along the way.

The End of the Semester is FINALLY Here!!!

This week...was final week. 3 tests and 1 presentation later...I'm done. I was sooo ready for the semester to be over...now I just get to wait and see what my grades are. I'm not too worried though...there was only one test that I'm not so sure about.

Now I just have to finish Christmas shopping...if only my little sister would let me know what her and her husband want...*sigh*...I'll figure something out.

Beautiful Wedding and A Bouquet!

This past Sunday was a Beautiful Day!

Great Weather - Perfect for a Wedding!

Yep. This past Sunday a long time family friend and his fiance (now wife!) got married!
It was a beautiful ceramony held at The Muny, and a fantastic reception to follow.

It was a little bizzare to see Z, whom I've know for about 15 years get married, but at the same time it was wonderful to see him grow up and find the love of his life. T made a very beautiful bride, and is a great person, of whom is a good friend, very kind and definatly loves the Lord just as much as Z does. May God bless them for many, many years to come!

Of course at the reception there was the typical speech by the best men, and bridesmaids (yes, they had two...how cool is that!), the cake (smashed in each others faces, of course!), dancing, oh and the garter and bouquet toss.

Let me tell you, I have been trying to catch that darned bouquet at the last couple of weddings I've been to with no avail...and two of them were my sisters weddings. (Of course I think Little M and her husband rigged it so that some friends of ours who were engaged and getting married 3 months later caught the garter and bouquet, but whatever) I didn't think I was going to catch this one either, but got in the group of the girls and the bouquet was tossed...and I caught it!

Not that it really means anything...but it was fun to finally catch it. Of course it could be fun to see if the superstiton behind it comes true at all...of course I know I woun't be the next one to get married, since A, another family friend who might as well be our sister is going to be getting married sometime next year.

Apparently I NEED a Guy to Buy Me a Ring...

Okay so I teach a Sunday School class at my church.

Of which the students are between the ages of 4-6 (depending on when the graduate Kindergarten).

I have one girl in my class right now, K. She is very smart...and observant.

This past Sunday as I was getting ready to start the lesson she asked me why I wore three rings. So I explained to her that one was from my Aunt, one was from my sister, Little M, and the other well, I bought for myself just 'cause.

Then she says..."Well M (Little M's husband!) needs to buy you a ring!"

I laughed and told her that he has already bought Little M a ring and that he didn't need to buy me a ring.

She asked me why a guy hasn't bought me a ring yet...

REALLY!?

What am I supposed to say to that

Then she says..."Well some guy needs to buy you a ring!"

I just looked at her, and said..."Well...I'll work on that..."

:/

Somehow...I can just see her excitment when that does happen.

(And I hope that it'll happen sometime in the near futer...you know after I meet a guy and all that jazz)

:)

Dear Male Kohl's Customers...Please Learn How to Read the Restroom Signs.

Because I'm sure it is very embarrassing to take your son into the ladies room.

Yep today at work I saw a man taking his son to the restroom...however he walked into the ladies room instead of the mens room. I'm actually suprised that this does not happen more often since our male customers (or at least most of them) seem to never (or at least hardly ever) see the sign for the mens room. They either a) realize that they are about to walk in to the ladies room, or almost walk into the break room. We (us customer service gals) are constantly pointing these men in the right direction.

I guess I just didn't see where the man was heading today and didn't realize it until wto women, whom I am assuming saw the man in the ladies room were joking him about it. He took it good heartedly and told the ladies that he thought it a little odd that there were no urinals in the "mens" room. :/

So...Male Kohl's Customers...please learn to look for/read the signs. You'll have alot less embarrassment bacause of it. :)

Since My Last Post...

I guess I've been busy...or lazy...or perhaps a tiny bit of both, because it has been awhile since I last put up a post. So here's what's new:

I got me new car! I'll try to make a post about it and include pictures soon. It's a Mazda 6 and I LOVE it! Got it at a pretty good price too, and it has low milage!

I turned 27. The best part about that was when my freinds threw a suprise birthday party! I was totally suprised - it was awsome! God has blessed me with some of the best friends a girl could ask for. I'll probably make a post on that soon too.

The most exciting thing is that I am going to be an Aunt to another beautiful baby girl in September/October! My baby sister is expecting her first. I am so glad she only lives fifteen minuets from me instead of somewhere faraway, like my older sister and her family does, which means I'll get to see her alot!

Other than that not a whole lot besides work...and school, just started back up for the summer. Getting closer to hopefully being able to find a job in my feild.

Homework break = Makeover!

Look! I changed my background!

I was getting tired of the old one and went searching...and I found a cute one...with a cute little owl on it!

Anyways, I am hoping to be getting back into my art very soon. I'm getting ready to re-do my art room I can't wait! It's going to be so organized! (Hopefully it will stay that way!)

I'll try and post pics of it when it's done.

Well I better go, gotta get back to that of which I am a slave tonight....homework...at least it's kinda fun... :)

I Might As Well Just Buy A New Car When I Need New Tires...

Why?

Lets just say me putting new tires on my car, whether its all 4...or just 1, somehow ends up in me getting a new car.

My first car needed new tires - alll 4. Okay got that done....not to long afterwards - I get in a car accident and total my car (thankfully it was just the car(s) that got damaged, the other driver and I were fine).

Now the car I have now, had gotten a flat tire. Of course I had to get a new one.

No this one has not been wrecked, instead the engine is going in it. I could just buy a new engine, but have decided that it'd be just as easy to get a new car.

So the new car search is on! Looking for 2007 or later - any suggestions??

(Hopefully, the car has really good tires too...or that the third car is a charm??)

My New Rival...as in Phone - Not Enemy

My phone drama-rama is over!

After having my phone replaced twice, buying a new battery and trying a new charger - it still wouldn't hold a charge for longer than eight hours, which was rather annoying. So last saturday I took it into the Verizion store in C-Ville, and they were just going to replace the phone...yet again. So this time I asked if I could use the upgrade on my grandparents phone and get a new one. They said yes. :)

This made me happy, and I now have a new phone - the Rival.

Oh, and it actually holds a charge!

Flat Tires and Caring Co-Workers

First of all let me explain that I had a tire that was not holding air very well, Daddy had refilled it a couple of times, but it was still getting low. I, however, apparently am not good at watching my knowingly low-aired tires.

While I was getting ready to clock in at work yesterday one of my co-workers said that my car's front driver-side tire was low, I was like, yeah I know, but she said it really flat. I didn't do anything about it, 'cause really what was I going to do then anyways.

The night went on as usual, until about 5 minuets until closing time I get paged over the intercom. So I call up to the person that paged me and my previously mentioned co-worker said that her son happened to stop by and she had sent him out to look at my tire. Well, he insisted that it was no good to drive on any longer than I had been and insisted that he change it. So I went and got my keys, and they went out to start changing my tire, while I finished a few closing duties before leaving. When I got out to my car my co-workers son was in the process of jacking my car up so he could actually get the tire off. Well he eventually got the car up and the tire off and the spare on and I was good to go after of course thanking him about 3 or 4 times.

Turns out I had barley any air in my tire at all after Daddy checked it. I stopped by Wal-Mart to get some Slime (tire sealant), and got the wrong kind - of course that wasn't totally my fault because I told the guy I needed it for my car's tire, and he directed me to one for tube tires...so now Daddy has to go exchange it and fix it in the morning.

At least it'll be fixed, and I can drive my car again! :)

The Phone Issues Continue

Okay...so back in October, my phone started to not hold a charge, so I went and got it resolved...or so I thought.

Since then I have, bought another battery from Verizon, and gotten the phone replaced...again.

Still that did not work, so I took it back in yesterday and they gave me a new charger to try. I told them that my phone would get hot when I charged it, so they said it was probably the charger...I don't think so...

I get home, my phone dies later on that night, I put it on the new charger - first time using it, it does fine charges, I'm good to go. I had charged right before bed, so I put on my "night stand" (I don't have a real night stand, I'm using a blow-up foot stool that came with a chair someone got me...) and went to bed. OBVIOUSLY I didn't use it all night- unless I was using it in my sleep and didn't know it (HIGHLY unlikely).

So what do I wake up to this morning?

Yep. My phone, chirping telling me it's about to die... Oi! This is driving me nuts.

Guess I'll be taking it back in again...

Oh and to top it off...my car charger went ka-put too, but it's not from Verizon.
