Merry Christmas! I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I know I did! Good food, great family, great gifts...and snow, beautiful, soft, white snow...with which we used to build a GIANT snowman!Yep...right after dinner, my sister, her husband, his brother and I all went out side and built the biggest snowman I've ever built...or seen. Here he is...our GIANT Snowman!
I'm going to be taking a photo of him every day (well...at least I'm going to try) until he melts completely, then try and put together a video of the progress. I'll post that when it's done...and maybe keep you updated every-so-often along the way.
This week...was final week. 3 tests and 1 presentation later...I'm done. I was sooo ready for the semester to be over...now I just get to wait and see what my grades are. I'm not too worried though...there was only one test that I'm not so sure about.
Now I just have to finish Christmas shopping...if only my little sister would let me know what her and her husband want...*sigh*...I'll figure something out.
It's been awhile, I've been busy...work...school...more work. Oh yeah and I'm working 2 jobs right now...did I mention school too?? To top that off finals are next week...*sigh*...I'm really glad this semester is almost over though!I am going to do my very best to do regular postings...but no promises. Don't expect any in the next week either...I'm gonna be a studying fool - and attempt to ace the few tests that I have next week!Talk at ya'll later!:D
This past Sunday was a Beautiful Day!
Great Weather - Perfect for a Wedding!
Yep. This past Sunday a long time family friend and his fiance (now wife!) got married!
It was a beautiful ceramony held at The Muny, and a fantastic reception to follow.
It was a little bizzare to see Z, whom I've know for about 15 years get married, but at the same time it was wonderful to see him grow up and find the love of his life. T made a very beautiful bride, and is a great person, of whom is a good friend, very kind and definatly loves the Lord just as much as Z does. May God bless them for many, many years to come!
Of course at the reception there was the typical speech by the best men, and bridesmaids (yes, they had two...how cool is that!), the cake (smashed in each others faces, of course!), dancing, oh and the garter and bouquet toss.
Let me tell you, I have been trying to catch that darned bouquet at the last couple of weddings I've been to with no avail...and two of them were my sisters weddings. (Of course I think Little M and her husband rigged it so that some friends of ours who were engaged and getting married 3 months later caught the garter and bouquet, but whatever) I didn't think I was going to catch this one either, but got in the group of the girls and the bouquet was tossed...and I caught it!
Not that it really means anything...but it was fun to finally catch it. Of course it could be fun to see if the superstiton behind it comes true at all...of course I know I woun't be the next one to get married, since A, another family friend who might as well be our sister is going to be getting married sometime next year.
Okay so I teach a Sunday School class at my church.
Of which the students are between the ages of 4-6 (depending on when the graduate Kindergarten).
I have one girl in my class right now, K. She is very smart...and observant.
This past Sunday as I was getting ready to start the lesson she asked me why I wore three rings. So I explained to her that one was from my Aunt, one was from my sister, Little M, and the other well, I bought for myself just 'cause.
Then she says..."Well M (Little M's husband!) needs to buy you a ring!"
I laughed and told her that he has already bought Little M a ring and that he didn't need to buy me a ring.
She asked me why a guy hasn't bought me a ring yet...
REALLY!?
What am I supposed to say to that
Then she says..."Well some guy needs to buy you a ring!"
I just looked at her, and said..."Well...I'll work on that..."
:/
Somehow...I can just see her excitment when that does happen.
(And I hope that it'll happen sometime in the near futer...you know after I meet a guy and all that jazz)
:)
